Time for a change!
As everything in life, the VIP team also experiences some changes from time to time. Thankfully, all of them are for good and have just one goal: offer a top notch service!
Last week, our Team was joined by 3 new VIP Hosts!!! Gio, John and Johan will now be part of our crew and really soon you’ll start noticing the many great things these guys have to offer. They are quite experienced on different areas within the operation, so, this is going to get even better.
Some of them will be blogging, too, so make sure to share your epic Poker stories. Just in case they need some material.
Also, the Loyalty Dept. is getting bigger. Now, Nela and Adrienne are working over there and I know you guys will surely miss them as your VIP Hosts, but no worries, they will be in touch and of course they are still working for you. I am sure these talented girls will do awesome and I wish them the best luck on their new positions.
So, there you go. New faces (at least for us), new voices and new great people who is more than willing to meet you and have a great time with you while you play poker.

Farewell and tons of luck!
From time to time we are faced with difficult decisions in life. But when you know that the future brings great opportunities, these decisions are made just a bit easier.
The VIP and Loyalty teams just said goodbye to a great host and wonderful friend. Our girl Andrea is spreading her wings and taking on new challenges. She will start working on another of her passions, physical therapy.
Although she left and she will be missed we’ll be in touch and we’ll surely play some poker soon!
I know all of you will join me in wishing her the best of luck on her new ventures!
Little Trip
Many people say it and I could not agree more: “Life is not all about work’’! You gotta find some space to have fun and enjoy the many beautiful things and places this world has to offer.
As many of you already know, the whole VIP team is from and works in Costa Rica, a little piece of heaven located in Central America, really close from Panama. Our country is a completely tropical one and we are famous for our beaches, mountains, volcanoes and many other cool places where you can meet, feel and breathe nature.
Everyone here is pretty aware of how lucky we are and even though any of us has weekends off, whenever we are able to get one, the action begins…
I was the lucky one this past weekend, so I took my stuff and went to this beautiful beach/national park called Manuel Antonio, just 2 hours and 30 minutes away from our capital!
Manuel Antonio is really beautiful and has 5 different white sand beaches and an amazing jungle you can enjoy… I did and also I´ve got some pics to share with you.
Yeah! That little buddy stole some food.
So, do the same. Whenever you got some time, get away from everything and enjoy life! We all know Poker is rough, so a little trip to Costa Rica or any other place won’t hurt you.
Now I am fresh and ready to keep rocking!

Oh well…we all know envy is a bad feeling we should always avoid and never let it get into our lives…but OMG!!! Sometimes you just can’t go with the flow haha. UBOC4 is over now, but people from our Payments Dept will have to work extra hours these days to shoot all that money to all winners’ accounts.
I’m honestly impressed to see how successful this year’s UBOC4 was. All our tourneys did great and prizes went beyond expectations. What impresses me the most is to see how some players happened to cash out thousands at several events…I mean, I already consider you lucky enough when you cash at one regular event, but cashing at several UBOC tourneys…c’mon dudes! That’s a lot!
And when I say lucky, I don’t mean poker is a game based on luck, what I mean is that you guys are extremely lucky because you count on this amazing skill. You are strategists, and honestly, it’s thrilling to me how you put your thoughts and strategies on the table to take control and make the rest feel afraid of your presence. I’m 100% honest here; I’d just love someone to teach me how to do that great magic! I could use a couple of extra thousands weekly!
Anyway, I really wanted to thank you all for being part of this success! AbsolutePoker players along with UB players gave their best last week and made a 5 stars parade by showing skills and professionalism to the world. AbsolutePoker does count on really good professional poker players and the UBOC4 results are our best evidence. Thanks for playing, thanks for joining and most important, thanks for leading us to constant improvement. This is an open invitation for everyone to feel free to let us know about any feedback or comments you may come up with. Check our sites and get to meet this year’s winners. I promise you’ll find nothing but great and committed class A players.

Oh my god, it’s really funny the way we interact nowadays and we’re able to meet people that might be thousands of miles away. With Facebook I feel like I partied with a friend from the States and now I’m cruising with my cousin in Dubai!
Well we want to reach out that way here at Absolute Poker to. It really is lovely when we get a chance to go to Aruba or the WSOP and we get to put a face to the usernames we chat and help every day. And the next best thing we can do is create a Facebook profile for the loyalty program! Were working hard on this so we can have a great profile with lots of info, so we hope to have it ready in a couple of months.
There you guys will be able to check out more info on the friends of the site, the pros and all the special activities we do will be displayed with tons of pictures. Also, we want you guys to be able to post tips and general info that you think can help others or that you just want to share. Haiti’s Relief
Being a VIP means a bunch of things; you guys know it better than anyone. It can be related to how good you are, how long you have been playing, how you unique your poker skills are, but the most important and the one I personally brag about all the time with everyone, is your willingness to always give us a hand.
For CEREUS that’s definitely a plus and we appreciate it.
This time that helpful hand of yours will not be for us exactly but we will also appreciate if you can be part of this. I know you will.
As you may know, a devastating earthquake struck the Republic of Haiti, in the Caribbean back on January 12th. Unfortunately, this country is currently devastated and even though many international organizations and governments are helping over there, every single consulted expert knows for a fact more help it’s still needed.

Happy New Year!!! This is the first blog of the year for the VIP Team. This is the first one of many more blogs that will come during the next 359 days and this is the first 2010 “hello” from everyone at VIP for you guys. Hope everything is great!
A new decade has started and we are ready to keep rocking the house. The Loyalty Dept. and VIP team have been working harder than ever and many exciting stuff are coming. I bet you’ll love them!
It is just a matter of time for you to notice it and since I want this to be a total surprise, let’s move on and talk about something else. 
Did you write down your New Year resolutions, already? We did.
Just as many other people around the world, the VIP Team at AbsolutePoker also has New Year resolutions, but these ones are special because all of them are for you. So, we really hope you like them. Here they are:
The first one more than a resolution is a commitment. We promise you will be receiving a top notch and even more personalized service during 2010. You know about this already: we are ready to give you a hand at any time, no matter what.

Tis´ the season!
I´ve been out of the office enjoying the holidays with some vacation time, so I haven´t been up to the latest poker news. However, now I´ve come to see how much working for Absolute Poker has affected my life. A few years back the holidays were not filled with turkey and a side of a small poker tourney!
Recently I noticed that every holiday gathering we´ve had so far has had a bit of poker. So having the VIP crew over or just a gathering with friends from outside of work has a special place for poker playing. Come to think about it this craze has really taken over the world and every day we see more and more poker all around.
Well I guess poker makes life more interesting and it is surely a way to make dreams come true. I check promotions as part of my day to day and there are tons of ways to make money and also to create new experiences. That is a great part of what we try to do in Absolute Poker, we try to make dreams come true and get our friends closer to new and awesome experiences; that is what makes me enjoy my job!
So finally when I go through this past year I feel happy and fulfilled: I have helped people get closer to their dreams and I have also had some of mine completed. I guess this has been a good year for all of us and I know next one will be even better.
I want to wish all you guys a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year, from myself and the rest of the VIP Team! And weather you have friends over and enjoy a table of poker during the holidays or decide to go solo and take advantage of the Holiday Power Hours we know poker is what keeps us going and makes life so much better!
