Showing your true colors

Have you ever put any thought into why people choose certain colors?  Whether you are painting a house, buying a new car, or choosing what to wear, color comes into play.  Even identical computers and MP3 players are sold in a wide range of colors. Colors are also important in interior design and marketing.

Colors can toy with your emotions.  Hospitals are usually white to make us feel pure and at peace, plus they are often associated with cleanliness and sterility.  Blue is considered non-threatening, confident, and secure, which is probably why police uniforms are regularly blue.

Colors are definitely of consequence at the tables.  When you are multi-tabling, what kind of environment do you want to immerse yourself in?  Do you like light colors or strong colors?  Maybe you want a black background to help you concentrate on the table itself?  Perhaps green will help reduce eyestrain in a long tournament.
